Starting point: Tbilisi
10:00 – Hotel Pickup Meet your guide and driver at your hotel lobby to begin your journey toward the spiritual heart of Georgia. We will leave the modern capital behind and travel back in time to the country’s most sacred sites.
10:30 – Jvari Monastery Our first stop is Jvari Monastery, a 6th-century masterpiece and UNESCO World Heritage site. Perched on a hilltop, it offers the most iconic view in Georgia. Specifically, you will see the dramatic confluence of the Mtkvari and Aragvi rivers, where the colors of the two rivers visibly meet.
11:30 – Mtskheta: The Holy City Next, we arrive in Mtskheta, one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world. We will stroll through the charming, stone-paved streets lined with local vendors selling traditional crafts, spices, and Georgian sweets, soaking in the atmosphere of the ancient capital.
12:15 – Svetitskhoveli Cathedral We visit the magnificent Svetitskhoveli Cathedral, a primary center of Georgian Orthodoxy and the burial site of Christ’s robe. Furthermore, you will explore this 11th-century architectural jewel, famous for its towering stone walls, intricate frescoes, and deep religious history.
14:00 – Return to Tbilisi: Metekhi & Old Town We head back into the capital to explore the historic Metekhi district. Standing on the cliff overlooking the river, you will see the equestrian statue of King Vakhtang Gorgasali and enjoy a perfect view of the colorful wooden balconies that define the old city’s soul.
15:00 – Narikala Fortress & Sulphur Baths In addition, we take a scenic cable car ride from Rike Park up to the ancient Narikala Fortress. After taking in the panoramic views, we descend into Abanotubani—the famous district of brick-domed sulphur baths—and walk to the hidden Leghvtakhevi waterfall in the city center.
16:30 – Shardeni Street & Bridge of Peace We conclude our walking tour by exploring the pedestrian Shardeni Street, known for its art galleries and cafes. Ultimately, we cross the futuristic glass Bridge of Peace, which serves as a beautiful link between Georgia’s ancient heritage and its modern future.
